Antique reproductions; A major producer of these doorknobs were the potters of Bennington Vermont starting around 1840. They are also known as Mineral knobs. They are hand made by swirling different colored clays and like the originals will have a marble/wood appearance and slight variations in size. They are available with solid brass or bronze bases for mortise locks and rim locks. Rim lock doorknob sets have one doorknob with a straight narrow ferrule and the other shorter with a foot that rests against the lock. Included with each rim lock set, one rosette.
