Carpenter rim lock set
fine reproduction of an 1860 Carpenter entry door size rim lock. These locks were made in England and were exported to the US and all of the English colonies. Heavy cast iron with solid brass trim. There is a slide lock on the bottom of the lock, a deadbolt and a latch. When the doorknob is turned the latch bolt lift up and out of the keeper. The set includes reproduction wrought brass doorknobs, rosette and shield escutcheon.
The entire set is a complete copy of an antique original set. The face of the lock has the Carpenter emblem. These locks are handed. Shown is a right handed lock.
