Brass Rim Locks

We use only the most skilful master craftsmen to supply the finest English handmade rim locks. All our reproduction locks are sand-cast; a traditional method of pouring molten metal into a mould formed in sand by a pattern. We cast our locks in Brass, Bronze, or Iron and offer our customers a choice of fine hand finishes.
Our standard rim locks operate on a two-lever mechanism and are supplied complete with two keys.

Black Iron and Brass Rim Locks

Our reproduction rim locks are copied directly from antique originals and crafted by hand using the same procedures used over a century ago. Each rim lock is sand cast in iron, brass or bronze, to match the detailing, textures and colors of the antique originals. We strive to make the best reproductions possible.

Carpenter Locks

This is a fine reproduction of an 1860 Carpenter entry door rim lock. These locks were made in England and were exported to the US and all of the English colonies. Heavy cast iron with solid brass trim.

Old Forge Rim Locks

In 1988 a number of original rim lock patterns were discovered in hidden corners of an old English Foundry in Staffordshire. Many of the patterns found under years of dust and debris, have been restored to their original condition and castings have been produced from them.
